Sundayfawn · Testing Lab
Compare the evidence, not the hype.
A public method for testing personalized children's books — with no score, result or ranking until the supporting record is complete and verified.

The answer today
The benchmark is public. The verdict is not.
Wonderbly evidence intake is In progress for one physical copy. Sundayfawn, Hooray Heroes, Librio and I See Me! remain Planned. We have not published hands-on scores or a ranking.
Existing buyer-guide comparisons use clearly labelled first-party product information. Future lab results will be independent observations of exact, dated purchases — never a rewrite of a brand's marketing copy.

What an editor can accurately cite today.
Sundayfawn has published its comparison method and reviewed four private photographs plus a private order confirmation for one Wonderbly copy, A New Sibling For You. The confirmation verifies a 79.99 CAD item subtotal, 19.99 CAD shipping, 5.00 CAD tax and 104.98 CAD total; the current product page corroborates the page count. No personal identifiers or private access link are retained. No measurement, order date, received date, observed delivery, score, ranking or best-for conclusion is yet verified. The photographs are not published because public-use approval has not been recorded.
Live evidence status
The first test queue.
Status is deliberately conservative. A planned or in-progress record cannot expose draft observations, even if someone accidentally adds them to the data.

Truth guard
Three states. One publishing gate.
Candidate selected; no purchase, observation or score is published.
A test may be underway; draft notes remain private and cannot become conclusions.
Required evidence is logged; measured fields may be published with dates and sources.
Fail-closed rule: “Verified” is necessary but not sufficient. The public result also requires a dated observation, named reviewer, method ID, evidence source and a measured value for every required dimension. Missing any one of them means no result renders.
What we examine
Eleven questions, asked the same way.
Each record describes one exact product and configuration. Observations stay specific to that copy, date, destination and reviewer.
- 01
Personalization depth
What meaningfully changes from one customer's book to another?
- 02
Story and plot
Is the narrative fixed, variable, or built around supplied details?
- 03
Likeness method and consistency
How is identity created, and does it remain consistent across the book?
- 04
Family and pet inclusion
Which additional people or animals can appear, and how are they used?
- 05
Preview and revision
What can a buyer inspect or change before printing?
- 06
Physical specifications
What was directly verified about size, binding, pages, paper and print?
- 07
Format
Which physical or digital format was actually tested?
- 08
Price at test date
What was charged for the tested configuration, before and after shipping?
- 09
Checkout friction
What steps, constraints or surprises occurred during purchase?
- 10
Observed delivery
How long did this specific order take, without turning one order into a promise?
- 11
Best fit
Which buyer need does the observed product serve best?
Audit trail
What every record must show.

Two kinds of evidence, never blurred.
First-party research
What the company says.
Official product pages can document available options, stated formats and current marketing claims. They are linked and date-stamped, but they are not independent proof.
Hands-on observation
What the reviewer verifies.
A dated purchase, received copy, recorded process and approved evidence can support measured findings. Results remain limited to the tested configuration.
Our current buyer's guide to personalized books and Sundayfawn vs. Wonderbly comparison use labelled official-site research for changing competitor details. They do not claim to be this lab's hands-on results.
Questions, answered.
Has Sundayfawn ranked these personalized book companies?
No. Wonderbly is marked In progress because evidence intake has started; the other initial candidates remain Planned. No scores, measured results, best-for conclusions or winner claims are published. A comparison can appear only after its evidence record satisfies the verified-data guard.
What is the difference between official-site research and hands-on testing?
Official-site research describes what a company currently says about its own product. Hands-on testing records what a reviewer directly bought, received and observed. We label those evidence types separately and do not present official marketing claims as independent test results.
When will a result be marked Verified?
Only after the exact product and configuration, purchase and observation dates, reviewer, method, sources and supporting evidence are logged. Physical specifications are published only when directly verified for the tested copy.
Does one delivery test predict every customer's delivery time?
No. A verified record may report the observed timing for one dated order, but it is not a shipping promise or a claim about every destination or season.
