Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-05-13

sundayfawn asks for a small amount of information so the press can make and send your book. We collect what the work requires, keep it for as long as the work requires, and nothing more. The most generous thing you can give is proof that you were paying attention.

What we collect

When you use sundayfawn, we may collect:

  • Account details: Your name, email address, and sign-in credentials if you choose to create an account.
  • Book details: The names, notes, preferences, and other details you enter so the press can prepare your storybook.
  • Reference materials: Photos and other materials you upload for use in preparing the finished pages.
  • Order details: Shipping information, billing country, and payment confirmations required to fulfill your order.
  • Site usage data: Basic analytics about pages visited and features used, but only after you accept cookies.

How materials move through the press

When you upload reference materials, here is what happens:

  • Production use: Your materials are used to prepare, review, and fulfill the book you asked us to make.
  • Specialist processors: We may share them with third-party illustration and image-processing providers, along with the details needed to complete your order.
  • Saved references: If you choose to keep materials in your account for later orders, they remain there until you delete them or ask us to do it for you.
  • No advertising use: We do not sell your materials, rent them, or hand them to advertisers or data brokers.

Who sees your data

Your information is shared only with the providers required to run the press:

  • Payment processors: To charge for orders securely. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Hosting and storage providers: To run the site, keep drafts available, and support delivery of the service.
  • Authentication providers: To sign you in, if you choose to create an account.
  • Third-party illustration and image-processing providers: To prepare artwork and production materials for your book.
  • Analytics providers: To measure site use after you consent to analytics cookies.

We never sell your data

sundayfawn does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. There is no advertising marketplace behind the press. Your order details stay tied to the work of making and supporting your book.

Tracking, Cookies & Advertising

We use a small set of measurement tools to understand whether the site is working and, when we run paid ads, whether those ads led to ordinary commerce activity. These tools may include PostHog for product analytics and session replay, Google Analytics 4, advertising pixels from Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, and Google, and server-side Conversions APIs for matching browser events with completed purchases.

For advertising measurement, we limit what is shared to commerce signals: pages viewed, items viewed, checkout and purchase events, order value and currency, a hashed version of your email address for matching, and campaign attribution such as UTM parameters, click IDs, and first- and last-touch source information.

We never send children's names, birthdays, uploaded photos, or story content to advertising or analytics partners. Personalization data stays in our own systems and is never used for ad targeting.

In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, non-essential analytics and advertising tools are consent-first: they do not load until you accept. In the United States and elsewhere, these tools may be on by default, with the right to opt out. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do-Not-Track browser signals where we can detect them.

You can change your choice anytime with the control below, or block cookies and similar storage in your browser settings.

Data retention

  • Uploaded reference photos and files: Deleted within 48 hours of processing unless you choose to keep them in your account for later use.
  • Saved account materials: Retained until you delete them, close your account, or ask us to erase them, subject to legal recordkeeping duties.
  • Temporary production outputs: May remain on specialist providers for their short operational retention windows, typically no longer than 48 hours.
  • Order and payment records: Retained for accounting, fraud prevention, tax, and legal compliance.
  • Local story drafts: May remain in your browser storage until you delete them or clear your browser.

Your rights and controls

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you.

  • Delete saved books or reference materials from your account, where those controls are available.
  • Request account deletion and erasure of associated personal information.
  • Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Object to or limit certain processing where local law gives you that right, including under GDPR or CCPA-style privacy laws.
  • Withdraw analytics consent by changing your cookie settings.

Write to hello@sundayfawn.com and we will handle the request in line with applicable law.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep the site working, keep you signed in, and remember your preferences. Analytics cookies run only after you accept them. We do not use advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, we will post the new version here and update the effective date above. When appropriate, we will also notify account holders by email or in-product notice.
